Ironless Motors
A linear motor axis consists of a linear module with an integrated linear motor which is able to move the carriage back and forth. Linear motors are linear direct drives with uniform, linear force. They are particularly suitable for fast positioning and feed movements at high accuracy.
Compared to other linear drive systems (such as toothed belt or ball screw), linear motor incorporates the advantages of a direct drive providing high acceleration and speeds at high rigidity and precision.
